Updated
Save the flat PNG made for your exact vehicle, transfer it with the Tesla app or USB, and select it in the car’s Paint Shop. Uploading and applying are separate steps. A digital wrap changes the vehicle visualization, not physical paint. Feature availability depends on your vehicle and software.
Choose the matching template
Use the exact model and variant from Tesla’s official custom-wraps repository. Different trims can use different UV layouts.
Export your PNG
Export between 512 × 512 and 1024 × 1024 pixels, under 1 MB. Use a filename up to 30 characters with letters, numbers, spaces, underscores or dashes.
Transfer using the Tesla app
In Tesla app version 4.59.0 or later, choose Creations → Wrap → Upload, and select your PNG.
Or use a USB drive
Create a Wraps folder at the drive root. Use exFAT, FAT32, ext3 or ext4. NTFS is not supported. In the vehicle choose Toybox → Paint Shop → Wraps.
Check access before trying a phone upload
Tesla App Support says vehicle features require a delivered vehicle and mobile access enabled. Installing the app alone is not a way to emulate a vehicle. If Creations or Wrap is absent, check the app version and the features available to your vehicle; the official wrap instructions specify 4.59.0 or later for app upload. Do not assume that uploading a file automatically selects it on the car.
Verify the final result on your vehicle
Choose the wrap in Toybox → Paint Shop → Wraps after transfer. Inspect the hood, both doors and rear to see whether your artwork follows the expected panels. If the design is absent, check PNG requirements and the Wraps folder. If it is present but misaligned, revisit the model and trim. A browser preview helps with placement, but cannot verify your car’s software or exactly reproduce its lighting.
Continue with your wrap
Sources and compatibility
Requirements checked against Tesla’s published instructions on the date above. Your vehicle’s available features and software remain the final compatibility check.
